Molosso

Rome was founded the 21st of April of the 753 B.C
Rome is one of the oldest city in Europe and also in the world. There is so much history and there are so many stories about it.
What matters is to present your own story.
Thats how me  and Pane presented Rome  at Amsterdam Biennale at Mediamatic.

The secret of life

Roma…1992,The first subway trains are painted.
Roma…2010, eighteen years later the visual impact of Names on the trains hasn’t stopped, instead they pile up on top of each other in a crazy race for visibility, layer over layer, generation over generation. Works constantly moving up and down the city which has become a huge open-air art gallery. These works, being subjected to weather conditions such as wind, rain, dirt, Sun, and human factors such as acids used to clean the windows, slowly get old, just like their Creators get old. Masterpieces that have a life of their own. One could safely assume that that which the Futurist painters theorized 100 years ago has finally been achieved!

A4God

A4God is a book that will be published soon. It is an idea of Marco Cedron. He has proposed to many artists to draw their own God. I am looking forward to see the book.
This is something that came out of my mind thinking about God.

Welcome to Why Style site!

Finally, after Why Style was born in 2002, we can introduce  you our brand new web site.

As you might know Why Style is a collective that focuses on art; we had participated to several international exhibitions, presenting our work, generally made of installations.

Visit the about and portfolio sections for details on our background and work.

As a concrete reality in the art landscape we needed to fill the lack of information about our progresses and an open space where to relate with the outside world.

To all the people who were asking: “is the Why Style collective still alive?” yes we are and this web site is the willing to make the word hearing that: Why Style is alive!

The Why Style collective has quite a long story, and things have changed since we first started.

Me, Joe and Nico have moved from Rome, the Why Style home town, to Amsterdam where we currently have a studio, while the other members, Scarful, Mirai Pulvirenti, Stand and Jon still live in the city, each one cultivating independently our own career.

If you want to know more about the single members of the Why Style collective and of the ones providing contents to our blog, you can visit the people page, and eventually move to each person personal web spaces.

This site was also strongly wanted to give to our self’s the strength to move ahead to new projects, and reinforcing our relation.

This place intend to be an important resource to the ones interested in visual aesthetic, art, life style and inspiration, a place where ideas of inspiring matters find all the love they need.

In order to make this place alive we need your help.

Leave comments, let’s start interesting discussions, let us know about your ideas and your work, and if you’re wealthy you might want to help us, by getting our stuff in the shop or by donating something, so that we can invest to make this place richer and more interesting.

And, last but not least, this site was practically possible thanks to the passionate work of the developers: Francesco and Michael, two young and enthusiastic guys that love what they do.

I also have to thank myself for designing the site layout, that I hope you find comfortable to read and consult.

I finally wish you a good navigation, and hope you’ll come back often to visit us.
